Additional Music for the Cross

In anticipation of tonight’s Vespers, and in continuing to work on our Lenten Idiomela Project, I have composed a setting of the hymn “Beholding Thee, the Fashioner and Creator of all” (Ὁρῶσά σε ἡ Κτίσις ἅπασα ἐπὶ σταυροῦ).  This was the Glory at the Entreaty (Liti) for Vespers on Saturday evening, and it is used again at this evening’s Vespers as well, at the Aposticha.  It can be found on the Lenten Hymnography (Variable) page, under “Third Sunday of Lent.”

In addition, an update about the Lenten Idiomela Project: Thus far, we have raised $1,475, which has been generously matched by our anonymous donor. We are still looking to raise $2,525, so as to take full advantage of the matching grant offer that we have received. You can read more about the project, and donate to support it, via this spreadsheet. If you can share this fundraising effort with anyone who might be interested, we would be very appreciative.

A blessed 4th Week of Lent to all!
